Types Of Moulding And Trim Used In Your Home
Baseboards
This type of molding runs at the foot of the walls and acts as an extra protective barrier against low-impact abuse such as chair legs, toys, and doors.
Crown Mouldings
These moldings typically run between the walls and ceiling, it acts to soften the abrupt transition between the two. This is purely aesthetic in nature but can add value to the interior of your home.
Casings
This trim surrounds your doors and windows, define wall openings and help to smooth the transition between holes in the wall.
